What? No Spam?

by irene on October 6, 2007

I have just discovered the side benefit to the torture I went through in migrating this blog from MovableType to WordPress.

The spammers can not find me!

Yes, I know it is only temporary, but this blog has now gone from literally thousands of spam messages a day to – drumroll please – NONE!

I give it another week.  Until then, I am going to bask in the glow.

PS:  More Wine Country Capers posts to come….

Welcome to the joys of WP! Do you have the Akismet plugin installed and activated…if not do so and you’ll see very few spams…mine collects 600+ a day and I see only one or two make it to my attention…where I gleefully kill them.

I know, I know! I avoided migrating from MovableType because Google LOVED Cuisine Capers before the migration, and I knew I would really mess up my URLs when I switched platforms. But, I have a number of blogs that use WordPress, and I love how WordPress has evolved. So, I bit the bullet. I don’t really regret it, but boy, are visitors confused when they try to find specific posts.

This too shall pass!

PS: I took at look at “What Geeks Eat”. Love it! I’ll add it to the blogroll, once I get that going again…
