The start of the traditional corned beef
Happy Saint Patricks Day! While I found during my genealogical exploration that I wasn’t nearly as Irish as I had been told I was, quite to my shock I admit, we still prepare Corned Beef and Cabbage for the occasion.
Because it falls on a Thursday this year, I got up early, put the corned beef in my Le Creuset oblong casserole, covered it with water and a few extra seasonings, added onion and popped it back into the refrigerator.
If all goes as planned, Greg will pop it into the oven at noon when he comes home to walk the puppy. It’ll be ready to pull out when I get home from work tonight.
And speaking of the puppy… have you ever seen a more humiliated, abused and degraded dog in your entire life?
Alien Puppy
She’s wearing her cone head when we’re away from home due to her obsession with her stitches that she got when she was spayed last week. Once we retire it, she won’t have to face it again until I paint it green, put a springy antenna on her head and call her Alien Puppy for Halloween.
