Spring Planting
The seedlings get their start
Spring is here! Of course, this means that our attention is turned towards preparing for a summer full of tomatoes!
This year will be very different for us. With the new house, we won’t be planting as many pots of vegetables. We no longer have a deck that gets full sun most of the day - our backyard is full of huge oak trees that block the sun out. So, we’ll need to watch the yard as the summer season starts to approach, and figure out where we will be putting our tomato pots.
We’re only going to plant a couple pots of Sweet Million tomotoes, and a hanging pot of Tumbler tomatoes. Also, we got some complimentary Russion Heirloom tomatoes from the seed supplier, so we’ll try a pot or two of those as well.
But after a ridiculously long winter, there is hope!
