Rachel Ray’s Garbage Bowl

by irene on September 18, 2006

I give up. I’ve spent a lot of time pondering this, and I’ve been unable to come up with an answer.

Why do people search for “Rachel Ray’s garbage bowl”?

An enormous number of people find Cuisine Capers each and every day in their Google quest for information on this item.

Now, granted, one could turn the tables on me and ask – well, why would you write an entry about Rachel Ray’s garbage bowl? That is a very good question. It was a true moment of, “now why didn’t I think of that”?

But still – for those of you searching the web on information for Rachel Ray’s garbage bowl, could you give me some insight as to what it is you are trying to find out?

Thanks. It would help me sleep at night :)

It’s the retro thing. Everyone can remember a bowl like Rachel’s in their own mothers kitchen. And, having a “GB” is a pretty good time saver. So what could be cooler than having a bowl like Moms and Rachels?

The reason I searched for Rachel Ray’s Garbage Bowl is because I won one in the nabiscocracker.com contest online and I didn’t know what it was.
I was hoping it was a large salad bowl or snack bowl, but I guess you could use it for that, too?

I only searched because I found it UNBELIEVABLE that there area actually people paying $15 to $20 Plus Shipping to get a plastic bowl to throw garbage in – the funniest part is then you have an extra thing to wash – just use a plastic bag you get for free in just about every store and throw it away!!!!! My favorite story has always been The Emporors New Clothes – however I guess its not just a fairy tale any more. I think Rachel Ray should be ashamed of herself!!!!!!!!!

I do not have a garbage disposal but I do compost. I have vowed to use less plastic this year. I am more likely to not throw away regenerable items if I can collect them while cooking. Plastic bags inserted into a bowl so they stay open work but then you have to throw away the plastic bag or wash it out yuck.

I was searching for Rachel’s gb simply because I am a bowl fanatic and I really like THAT bowl. I was wondering what it’s made of. It almost looks like a marble bowl. But when I went browsing through a local kitchen specialty store I saw one that looked so familiar and it was made of recycled material.
I just like bowls thats all. I also like the idea of a garbage bowl. I’ve adopted the idea and it’s saved me so much time going back and forth to the garbage plus it takes that contamination factor out of it too.
