June 14, 2009
Pedroncelli Winery

One of the reasons that we were interested in headquartering our visit in the Dry Creek area was because you literally can’t turn around without encountering an interesting, Zinfandel-producing winery. This certainly proved to be true on this day.

David Coffaro Vineyard and Winery

June 14, 2009
David Caffaro Winery

David Coffaro has a unique perspective on winemaking that has earned the respect of his peers. He definitely does things his way. Like the use of screw cap bottles. Or blending grapes you’ve hardly ever heard of. Or selling most of his wine as futures. Or making a wine from the bottom of every barrel. Or making wines that are affordable.

Apple for Lunch

October 18, 2007
Sausage Pesto Pizza

The title of this post is a bit misleading.  I haven’t, unfortunately, gone on a health kick and started to eat apples for lunch.  No fear of that.  Instead, I and some cohorts in crime ate lunch at Apple today.  We were in Cupertino, CA visiting the Apple campus on business.  We were treated to [...]

First Class Breakfast

Our day started off nice and early – we headed to the airport at around 5:00 AM.  Flights were relatively uneventful, apart from our extended stay on the runway in Minneapolis.  Over an hour of sitting in one spot and doing nothing, while planes around us packed into the line that wasn’t moving.  If there [...]
