Hi all, I’m out of town at the moment, but thought I’d drop a quick note about a local Madison event coming up, featuring a Foodie Panel. It should be fun!

Madison Interactive, a group for people who work on public websites – both for work and for play – in the Madison area – is hosting its third free event. Whether you’re uploading articles to a local media website or just tending a personal blog, we want you to join us and share your experiences. And to make it all even more interesting, we’ll also be having a brief panel discussion with some local online folks who focus on writing about dining in Madison.

Dainec, a local web-friend that I’ve known for three years or so, but have never met (just when are we going to go and get that coffee?), alerted me to the fact that Cuisine Capers was mentioned in the latest issue of The Isthmus, a weekly Madison newspaper tradition.

Surprised, I trudged out on a snowy Christmas morning, in search of an Isthmus. I mean, come on, you’d do the same, right? Right?? Well, ok, maybe you wouldn’t, but I justified it by stating that I needed to grab a cup of coffee.

And sure enough, there we were on page 33, included in an article on Food Blogs. Jennifer, Lenn… you’ll be glad to hear that along with the almost obligatory mention of “IMBB”, Sugar High Fridays and Wine Blogging Wednesdays were also nicely mentioned.

It was fun to see. And we’re getting lots of hits from the article, which is also very cool. And some of you locals who are visiting the page might even know us real life. If you look around the site there are enough hints to give us away, I suspect!
